In October 2025, the 10th Rural & Remote Health Scientific Symposium (RRHSS) was held in Alice Springs with the conference attracting 273 research delegates over two days – making it the Alliance's largest scientific gathering since its inception in 2008 and the first to be hosted in Australia’s Northern Territory.

The 10th World Archaeological Congress (WAC-10) was staged in Darwin in Australia’s Northern Territory (NT) in June 2025 and was hosted by Flinders University in partnership with the Northern Institute at Charles Darwin University. It was the first time the Congress had ever been held Australia.
Association of School Business Administrators National Conference (ASBA 2025)
DARWIN
ASBA hosted its 23rd National Conference in Darwin, guided by the theme Resilience at the Top End, which highlighted the importance for adaptability and strength in overcoming the evolving challenges in the educational sector.
The conference was held from 20-23 May 2025, bringing together members and non-members, sponsors, exhibitors and industry guest speakers at the Darwin Convention Centre within the Darwin Waterfront Precinct in the tropical capital.
Over 750 conference attendees, including sponsors, and 287 exhibitors travelled from across Australia and internationally to participate in the four-day conference to connect and discuss the latest industry insights, current trends, and best practices in educational administration.
28th Australian & New Zealand Prevocational Medical Education Forum

More than 300 prevocational medical education professionals gathered in Darwin, at the Darwin Convention Centre for ANZPMEF 2024, a scenic waterfront venue located within a 10-minute walk to the CBD.
Over four days, conference attendees participated in meaningful discussions centred around the theme Rising to the Challenge: Sustainability, Community, and Culture, with up to five concurrent breakout sessions held throughout the venue each day.

The Rural Medicine Australia (RMA) 2024 Conference, the nation's leading medical education event for rural and remote doctors, was hosted in Darwin, bringing together more than 859 delegates, including medical students, junior doctors, rural generalists, consultant specialists, educators, and academics to exchange knowledge, share research, and strengthen collaboration across Australia's rural health sector.

The 2024 Australian Society of Anaesthetists National Scientific Congress (ASA NSC 2024) converged in Darwin from 6-9 September at the Darwin Convention Centre, the largest congress and events facility in the Northern Territory.
As part of the congress program, a series of social events were organised at waterfront locations and local venues around the palm-fringed city to showcase the destination and support the wider community.
